Scheme Variants

6 variants available for this scheme

This mutual fund has multiple plan and option combinations sharing the identical portfolio. Select a variant below to view its specific ISIN, AMFI scheme code, and terms:

Direct vs Regular Plans
Direct Plan (Zero Commission): You invest directly with the fund house (AMC). No commission is paid to any intermediary or broker. Because there are no distributor commissions, Direct plans carry a lower Total Expense Ratio (TER), ensuring more of your money remains invested and compounds over time.
Regular Plan (Distributor Commission): You invest through a bank, distributor, or broker. An ongoing commission is paid to the distributor out of the fund's assets every single year you hold the investment. This increases the annual expense ratio and reduces your net returns.
Growth vs IDCW Options
Growth Option (Compounding): All profits, capital gains, and dividends generated by the underlying securities are automatically reinvested into the scheme. Unit NAV rises continuously, compounding your wealth until you decide to redeem.
IDCW Option (Dividend Payout): Formerly called Dividend Option. The fund distributes periodic payouts from scheme surplus. Each payout directly reduces the scheme's NAV and is taxed at your personal income tax slab rate in the financial year received.

Facts

Scheme identity

Full scheme name

The scheme's complete registered name including plan and option. Marketing names drop these qualifiers, which is how people end up buying a Regular plan while intending a Direct one.

Tata Silver ETF Fund of Fund - Regular Plan - Growth Option
Fund house

The asset management company running the scheme. Your money is held by a separate trustee and custodian, so the AMC manages but does not hold it.

Tata
AMFI scheme code

AMFI's numeric code for the scheme, which identifies one specific plan and option combination. It is the key that distinguishes the four variants that share a single marketing name.

152297
ISIN (growth / payout)

The ISIN for the growth option, the globally unique securities identifier. It is the most reliable way to confirm you are looking at exactly the right plan and option.

INF277KA1893
ISIN (reinvestment)

The ISIN for the IDCW reinvestment option of the same scheme.

Scheme launch date

When the scheme opened. Read it with the sub-category, since schemes launched before SEBI's 2018 recategorisation were mapped into their current category rather than built for it.

Category & mandate

Scheme type

Whether the scheme is open ended, close ended or interval. Open ended schemes can be bought and sold on any business day; close ended ones lock the money until maturity and trade only on an exchange, often below value.

Open ended
SEBI sub-category

The SEBI sub-category, which since 2018 defines what the scheme may hold. It is the only classification that makes two funds genuinely comparable, because it fixes the market-cap or duration mandate rather than leaving it to the scheme's marketing name.

Fund of Funds — domestic
Riskometer band

The risk band SEBI requires the scheme to publish, from Low to Very High. It is the AMC's own mandated disclosure, calculated by a prescribed method, and it is reviewed monthly.

Benchmark index

The index the scheme measures itself against, as declared in its offer document. It is the reference the scheme's own reporting must use, which is why it belongs to the scheme's identity rather than its performance.

Domestic Price of Silver
Theme

The sector or theme a thematic scheme is restricted to. A narrower mandate means the scheme cannot diversify away from that theme even when the manager wants to.

Management

Management style

Whether the scheme is actively managed or tracks an index. Index schemes follow a rulebook with lower costs; active ones rely on the manager's decisions and charge more for it.

Passive
Fund manager

Who manages the scheme. Not in AMFI's public file and empty on most records here, though it matters for an actively managed scheme because a manager change alters how the mandate is executed in practice.

Nitin Bharat Sharma (since 2026-03); Tapan Patel (since 2024-01)

Investment terms

Plan

Direct or Regular. Direct plans are bought from the AMC without a distributor and carry a lower expense ratio for the identical portfolio; Regular plans embed a distributor commission. The difference compounds over long holding periods.

Regular
Option

What happens to the scheme's income. Growth reinvests it so it shows up in the unit value; IDCW pays it out, which is taxable in your hands and reduces the unit value by the amount paid.

Growth
Minimum investment

The smallest lump-sum purchase the scheme accepts from a new investor.

₹5,000
Minimum SIP

The smallest recurring instalment the scheme accepts. It decides whether the scheme is reachable on a small monthly budget.

SIP frequencies

Which recurring investment intervals the scheme allows.

Lock-in

How long units cannot be redeemed at all. ELSS schemes carry a mandatory three-year lock-in in exchange for the Section 80C deduction; most other open-ended schemes have none.

0 months
Exit load terms

The charge for redeeming within a stated period, and how long that period runs. It is a term of the scheme rather than a moving figure, and it is what makes short holding periods costly.

Redemption / Switch-out / SWP / STP on or before expiry of 7 days from the date of allotment: 0.5%
STP and SWP available

Whether money can be moved in or out in instalments through systematic transfer or withdrawal plans, rather than only as lump sums.

Can be held in demat

Whether units can sit in a demat account alongside shares, rather than only in the registrar's records.
